Leaves Turn.

“What are your goals?” he asked.

My goals are the goals of an apple seed.

I don’t remember how I answered his question but it couldn’t have been more truthful than the apple seed metaphor.

Write what you know.  This standard advice has cost more than one writer a confrere or two. Here it is:
