In my twenties: went around and around with someone over Love. He insisted Love always contained hate. It was “law” he declared, like I might get arrested for my beliefs. I disagreed with him then and still do today. Thank you, Eckhart Tolle:
Emotion literally means “disturbance.” The word comes from the Latin “emovere,” meaning “to disturb.”
Love, joy, and peace are deep states of Being…as such they have no opposite…Emotions, on the other hand, being part of the dualistic mind, are subject to the law of opposites.
In my forties: I write a play about a man who loves a woman (including her weaker places) without phone, email, text message, iChat, Facebook, Skype or USPS. Simply face to face. And, this, from Byron Katie:
is it true? can you prove it’s true? how do you react when you believe the thought? who are you without the thought? and who are you without your story?

The Universe loves momentum. It’s summer. Take a deep breath, be grateful for everything just as it is and swim. Or don’t. Either way, we are loved in spite of it all (and it will be over soon). XO.
