Mom swears it doesn’t bother her that people celebrate the birth of Christ on her birthday. Nevermind that across the board, bible scholars agree, Jesus was not born on December 25.
Still, it doesn’t bother my mom, who really was born on Christmas Day. In any event, I won’t be voting for Mike Huckabee, who completely ignores my mom’s birthday in his advertising.
Mom will be celebrating with Howie this year and having a damn fine time.
Happy birthday to Mom! And Merry Christmas to Amy! I am very jealous of your holidays spent in New England. There is NOTHING like waking up on Christmas and looking outside to see the sunlight sparkle off the snow. Enjoy!
Hey Earthnut!
Thanks so much. I’ll give Mom a hug for you.

Thanks MC! xo
Didn’t know you were still keeping up the blog. Glad to hear you’re doing well and mostly enjoying the midwest.
It must be all the build up of those pesticides in the corn & soybean that make people lash out. I would consider it flattery that they had nothing else to do but keep up with your life rather than improve their own! They’re not worthy of your company 🙂
Hugs & Happy New Year to you!
Love,
Sarah
Sweet Sarah! XO
Still have your Xmas card on display
in our little Des Moines apartment.
